VIII International Conference on Transport - Call for Papers

From 28 to 30 September 2022, the “VIII International Conference on Transport: Transport faced with the challenges of technological development and globalization” will be held in Benicàssim (Castellon/Spain), organised by the Institute for Transport Law of the Jaume I University, Castellon.
As the directors of the Conference we are pleased to publish a first call for papers. Additional information about the event will be soon available on our website. We hope that this initiative is of your interest.

First call for papers
TRANSPORT AS A DRIVING FORCE OF SOCIO-ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
On 13, 14 and 15 June, 2018, the seventh edition of the International Transport Congress took place. Under the slogan “Transport as a driving force of socio-economic development: protection of the weak contracting party and advances in the liberalisation of the sector”, the event welcomed prominent Spanish and international specialists in the field. It was directed by professors Mª Victoria Petit Lavall (professor of Commercial Law at the Universitat Jaume I), Mª Jesús Guerrero Lebrón (professor of Commercial Law at the Pablo de Olavide University) and José Manuel Martín Osante (senior lecturer in Commercial Law at the University of the Basque Country). Leading the scientific committee was Professor Leopoldo Tullio (professor of Navigation Law at Sapienza, Università di Roma). Altogether, including speakers, communicators and attendees in general, more than a hundred people registered as participants in the congress.

In the spring of 2015, specifically, on 12, 13 and 14 May, the sixth edition of the International Transport Congress took place in an idyllic setting next to the beach in Benicàssim (Hotel el Palasiet). The motto chosen for the occasion was: “The efficiency of transportation as an objective of the action of the public authorities: liberalisation and responsibility”. The event, as usual, served to bring together prominent Spanish and international specialists in the field. The Congress was led by professors Alberto Emparanza Sobejano (professor of Commercial Law at the University of the Basque Country), Mª Victoria Petit Lavall (professor of Commercial Law at the Universitat Jaume I) and Andrés Recalde Castells (professor of Commercial Law at the Autonomous University of Madrid). The scientific committee was led by Professor Leopoldo Tullio (professor of Navigation Law at Sapienza, Università di Roma). It was attended by over one hundred people, including speakers, communicators and attendees in general.
